About Birbhum Sanskriti Bahini
Birbhum Sanskriti Bahini is primarily a theater troupe and a cultural institution. However, in addition to cultural practices, this institution carries out various educational, social and service activities.
At the root of this organization is the idea of 'sob pechhir asor' for children. In 1999, the Tarashankar Sabpeychir Asar was established in Labpur, Birbhum to bind the playground of children to the rhythm of dancing and singing. Then in 2008-2009, this institution made its debut with government recognition as Birbhum sanskriti bahini.
Dr. Ujjal Mukhopadhyay is the director of this institution. The debut of this institution centered on the staging of dramas written and directed by him. Since its inception, plays of this institution have been performed in nineteen states of the country. More workplaces have been developed by the initiative of this institution keeping drama as the center.
About Director:

Dr. Ujjal Mukhopadhyay
Director
Dr. Ujjal Mukhopadhyay, Director of Birbhum Sanskriti Bahini. Born on 12th January 1978 in Labpur village of Birbhum district of West Bengal. Father Bankimchandra Mukhopadhyay and mother Tapathi Mukhopadhyay.
Born and brought up in the soil of Birbhum, Lalmati's folk culture of this country has been his bond and platform of liberation since his childhood. Therefore, after graduating with Bengali literature, he naturally chose folk literature and folk culture as a special paper at postgraduate (Rabindra Bharati University) level.
And it was during that student period that in 1999 Tarashankar Sabpeychir Asar was formed by his hand which later (2008-2009) got official registration as Birbhum Sanskriti Bahini.
Dr. Ujjal Mukherjee is a teacher by profession. Besides teaching, he is also a poet, dramatist and theater director. But his biggest identity is that he is an organizer.
Because through education, culture and various social activities, he has created a group that is not just a theater group, it is actually building another society within our society whose religion is the welfare of the larger society and the country.
As this thought and consciousness of the organizer emerges again and again in different ways in his plays, this thought also resonates in all his other fields of work.
