Based on the story of Mansamangal, a medieval poet, this play is performed in the form of puppet dance. This play of 45 minutes to 1 hour is full of dance songs and stories. The play performed in both Bengali and Hindi languages. The 415th staging of the play was held in Indore Pradesh in March 2023 and the play received the Transoceania World Record there.
Boglo Bayen
Dhak is an essential part of Bengali culture. Once upon a time, a large section of the Bayen tribe used to make a living by playing the cover in various religious and cultural events. Still in Bengali culture the status of the veil is fatal. However, the question arises as to whether the new generation will accept and carry this hereditary livelihood tradition with equal dignity in view of the changing socio-economic-mental thoughts and consciousness. And with the light of that consciousness, Dr. Ujjal Mukhopadhyay's original play 'Boglo Bayen' was written.
Akhraiyer Dighi
The play is inspired by fiction writer Tarashankar Banerjee's short story Akhraiye Dighi. It is said that there was a base of Thangared tribes like Bauri Dom Bhalla on the bank of Akhrai Dighi on Badshahi Road. In Tarashankar's works, the story of those Thangareds got the form of a story. And the history of Thangared is covered in the drama Akhrai. Besides, the unique use of only some sticks as props is one of the attractions of the play.
